How GPA weighting works
Your GPA is calculated by multiplying the points for each grade by the credit hours for that course. These are summed up and divided by the total number of credit hours.
GPA = Σ(Grade Points × Credits) / Σ(Total Credits)
What is a 4.0 scale?
The 4.0 scale is the most common grading system in the US, where an A is 4.0, a B is 3.0, and so on. F always equals 0.
Does course name matter?
No, the course name is just for your own organization. Only the grade and credits affect the math.
